Distance and Blended Learning Basics
Welcome!
This course provides an introduction to effective practices for implementing distance and blended learning in adult education and the relevant policies and procedures specific to Minnesota.
The course is intended for Minnesota Adult Education teachers, managers, program coordinators, distance learning specialists and anyone in a role supporting learners or staff with distance or blended learning (e.g., curriculum specialists, technology integration specialists, digital navigators, volunteer tutors, etc.). Completion of Modules 1 through 5 is required for all Minnesota adult educators who want to offer distance learning (both DL platforms and distance instructional models) and who have not previously completed DL 101: Foundations of Distance Education and Blended Learning (a longer term, cohort-based PD offering) or DL Basics online (the precursor to this online course).
